Bootcamp
Fitness Articles
Bootcamp workouts are usually pretty
intense exercise sessions that work the entire body rather than
just one muscle group. Rest sessions are usually short which
keeps the heart going and will help you burn calories
faster.
Not all bootcamps involve guys dressed in camo
yelling and screaming at you to do push ups in the mud.
In fact, many bootcamps are filled with men and women
that are not yet in great shape but prefer the casual
atmosphere and the cheaper prices when compared to
personal training sessions.
Let's look at some of the main benefits to
bootcamp style workouts.
1.
They are almost always more intense then gym workouts, because
you will push yourself when you ar elead by a great bootcamp
instructor.
2.
Motivation - Working out with other people usually helps keep
you motivated on those days where you just don't feel like
working out.
3.
Bootcamp exercise are never boring, and there is a good chance
your body hasn;t experienced anything like that since gym class
in High School. Which means your muscles will respond better to
the work and you will get more
results.
4.
The ongoing exercises you will be doing will enable you to burn
more calories than a normal workout would. If your goal is to
lose a few pounds or tighten your muscles then bootcamps are
perfect for you.
5.
Getting outdoor - A lot of bootcamps are offered outdoors which
is nice for most people given the fact that we are almost never
outside anymore, with work and all. If you live in a hot
climate like florida or arizona you can probably find indoor
bootcamps as well.
6.
Build Confidence - Bootcamps are great for building confidence.
The first few workouts will be a challenge, and you will be
sore:) But you will feel great knowing that you accomplished
something every time you work out.
7.
Most bootcamp instructors can cater a class or workout to
people of all ages and abilities. Most exercises have
variations that you can use until you are able to do the actual
exercise.
If
you hace been contemplating a bootcamp class, we recommend you
give it a try. Some instructors will even let you try a class
